16.03.2017 Lithuania's Rokiskio Suris set to launch lactose exports to China

RokiskioSuris, a leading Lithuanian dairy group, this week is launching lactose exportsto China in what will be the second shipment of dairy products from Lithuaniaafter Vilkyskiu Pienine in mid-January exported some mozzarella to the Asiancountry, reports LETA/BNS.

"The first batch of 100 tons of our lactose onMar. 18 is departing from the port of Klaipeda for a trip to the Chinese portof Dalian," told Dalius Trumpa, chairman of the managementboard at Rokiskio Suris.

 "We have a contract with a direct buyer that willuse our product as an ingredient in its production. These will be products fortheir local market. We have contracted to send a total of 300 tons of lactoseover a period of two months," he said.
